So far I had to work around the corpse distribution. I haven't gotten as many Troop Columns as I want, in part because of I'm controlling Strenght by hiding and also because they're harder to detect. - I got only one holo-sharpshooter and I don't even use her. - My shinobis are mostly flank shooters...

RNG? With so many engineers you shoulda excavated super-quick, and with those supplies purchased scientists. I don't use the black market, definitely not for scientists/engies who are ridiculously expensive. yes I've excavated almost everything but I have better things to pend resources on I can't ...

The only mission I've been able to fully stealth so far was a Hack with a Highway Overpass. And I had brought a fighting squad. In retrospective maybe I shoulda killed them all for the loot.

I kept 3 and they never detected it That's not gonna work. You can't detect the mission until it's generated (and you won't know when), and when it's generated, you won't have a lot of time to get its intel bucket full so that it pops up in your map. You have to fully dedicate your Haven to detect ...

It'd be nice if we always got a small boss pod on the Troop columns with a single high-tech Alien and say, two escorts. Put a single Archon/M.Elite/Andromedon/Gatekeeper/Sectopod in it as we advance in Alien force level.

Just remember not to overdo-it with the Squaddies and LCPLs, they still suck past early game. I like to play it safe and bring one at a time. Had enough issues already when facing Archons, Heavy MECs and whatnot on Ex Light missions .

I think the issue comes from low cover terrain that you can walk over when on the edge of the detection range. The tile won't show the indicator, and the pathing AI won't recognize it either. It'll mark the destination as safe, but it really isn't.

In a perfect world, you'll find unobstructed high ground on the rear of the map for your Sharpshooter to sit on. If you want to get around this in a gameplay sort of way, make a habit of packing at least one Battle Scanner on your guys and tossing one out in a direction you think the game would screw you over with a yellow alert pod. Won't stop those 20% thru high cover hits tho

I think what you say makes a lot of sense dwarfling specifically for legend difficulty. Besides your liberated region, how many rebels do you try to assign to supplies? Or do you just rely on corpses/resources from troop columns/supply raids to give you enough supplies to keep expanding/upgrading? ...

I grab it on whoever Assault goes with Trench Gun since now you're not picking Close and Personal.
