Why are people saying that Rapid Targeting only helps you once every 4-5 rounds? It helps every round because it makes holo a non-turn-ending action, even while the "free" holo action is on cooldown.

My understanding is that Dodge and Crit are *treated* as two separate rolls, but in actuality are not. Right, in 1.1 the code was written to exclude "sharpshooter" or "ranger" from certain perks, but there was a bug that was somehow removing those perks from ALL soldiers instead of just those classes. In 1.2, the code uses perks that are unique to classes to restrict certain perks...

Hair trigger is actually a decent shotgun attachment if you take Close Combat Specialist. I find that a decent number of those shots end up being misses.

Take a look at the skill tree for that soldier in the armory. I think they swapped some skills around on the PsiOp tree, and that causes issues with existing games, since the perks tend to be linked to the position on the skill tree and not the perk itself. The avatar project is active from the beginning, but the doom counter is hidden until you liberate your first region. You can still lose the game when the aliens complete the Avatar Project if you wait too long to liberate a region.

Remember that Scope aim bonuses don't apply to overwatch shots, but laser sights do apply extra crit to OW shots taken with Cool Under Pressure. As far as I can tell, it's from the counterattack ability and applies to melee attacks only. If you targeted him with a gun ability, he wouldn't have any dodge.
