Actually, that reminds me - why are soldiers' main abilities hidden? Seems like those should definitely be revealed both in LW2 and the Perk Pack. It would have saved me a lot of UFOPedia checks. I'm wondering if somehow the changes to Flamethrower in 1.1 affected other cone attacks like Trench Gun. Thanks Napal292! I think I will try that out. You may have saved LW2 for me. And thanks for the other responses, I'm glad other people are enjoying the stealth mechanic, I just did not find it satisfying after the first couple stealth runs. And it sounds like there's more fighting in the later game...

Haven't gotten a Sharpshooter to MSgt, but in LW2's XComLW_SoldierSkills.ini, it say Double Tap has a cooldown of 2 turns, which means it's usable every other turn. Still with enough Aim it's a 50% boost to damage output.Sines wrote:Serial has a 6 turn cooldown. Double-Tap is usable once per turn.

I recommend suppression for technicals specifically if you use them for long missions, like 0% supply raids or HQ. You aren't getting multiple rockets anytime soon and being able to suppress gives them longevity. I imagine similarly you'd recommend they take Shredder too, as that gives them a stron...

Selecting the starting zone
I've looked for a mod to do this and I've found nothing. Is there any easy way to select a game's starting zone? Besides by repeated starting new games and exiting out if they aren't the zone wanted.

I think it's crazy that a soldier class would need 3 builds. It increases the complexity of managing the solider and squads.
