I've been playing on commander and currently 4 months into my campaign(July) and i've done about 7-8 raids with 10 man squads on 0%. I usually come out with wounded soldiers but no deaths. The timer starts after concealment is broke, which usually takes about 5-6 turns after you've revealed yourself, then I think you get reinforcements every 3 turns after that, and they keep landing with stronger units every time. Is there a plan to add marathon option to Long War 2? One of the things I enjoyed most about the original and XCOM 1 Long War is the option to play much much longer campaigns. I think original xcom game I had completed 450 missions before my memory card went corrupt on playstation.

yeah i apologize. For some reason when I was going through the website it took me to XCOM 2 difficulty instead and I hadn't realized it. I tried to delete this post but it was waiting for moderator review. Thanks for the quick response though.
