I witnessed a disoriented Advent Trooper hit for 3 damage against full cover. Now, to do the math, full cover offers 45 defense, which combined with the -25 from being disoriented means the trooper is shooting with at 70% penalty. I agree. Althought I managed to get 10 out of 11 rebels and only got 1 wound, I felt incredibly uneasy during the whole ordeal because the drops were happening on opposite sides super far away. What if you guys are just noticing it more because in 1.3 we're taking many more small-squad missions? I've probably played close to as many 4 man guerrilla ops in 1.3 as I did in the months leading up to it. Because of the smaller squads and more frequent combat, it's also more frequent that enemie...

Quick tangential question, is it ever worth leaving a network tower or HQ mission exposed because the increased vigilance slows the avatar project?

1.3 effectively turns off the hard timers, which nobody liked, and has replaced them with a soft timer. It may say that you have 20 turns, but somewhere around 8-10 turns you start getting escalating reinforcements every turn. Yeah, they replaced the hard timer... With a hard timer you can't see. Y...

I disagree with the OP about taking 4 turns to kill drones. Yes, they can be difficult with certain squads, but generally early on you get combat protocol for your specialist and/or have a shotgun wearer in your squad. It's almost a given that you'll encounter drones, and a shotgun user can destroy...

I'm loving 1.3. I totally understand that you might experience frustration if your tactical combat skills are rusty. If you were a heavy stealth player, it probably feels weird running timed combat missions, especially the 8 turn ones. I'm still having some trouble. Of course, with Xcom, the trouble...
