Re: CTD loading first mission
If you're getting the skyranger mission load for Gatecrasher it means something is corrupted in the LW2 install. You should get the infiltration load screen with soldiers in a room. Mixing nexus and workshop mods together may give you load order problems, it's simplest if you use the same mechanism ...

Re: CTD loading first mission
Have you tried the troubleshooting steps in the stickied post? Refreshing config files will often fix some problems. If it persists even after refreshing configs and re-validating, please let us know.

Re: Flanked Through Cover
There's a similar thread on these issues in the main forum from a few months ago. To summarize, there are a few apparent vanilla bugs in cover, and they aren't caused by mods and they can't easily be fixed by mods. Some of them (notably around certain SUVs and fences, but there may be others) look l...

Re: Black Market Soldiers
I'm not sure what you're reporting here. The soldier stat rerolling I believe is intended, the black market refreshes its available soldier list every month at the supply drop and those soldiers needs randomized stats just like all other soldiers. The UIError error is pointing to a vanilla class and...

Re: Shens last gift freeze
Thanks for the report. We haven't seen this one before and I don't think it's a LW2 specific bug, but somehow one of the MECs on this mission spawned out-of-bounds. The good news is the game isn't actually frozen: it's just taking an extremely long time to time-out trying to ragdoll the MEC that got...

Re: XCOM 2 expansion + Long War 2: Nothing to announce
The LW2 highlander is distinct from the community one because the community one didn't exist when we released LW2. We specifically wrote all the LW2 changes in the highlander to be backward-compatible with Vanilla and to not encode any LW2-specific stuff in it. Like I posted on Reddit back around th...

Re: Viper's bind makes environment explode
This is vanilla behavior. Looks like we removed the environmental damage from the tongue itself, but not from the bind part. I guess that was probably just an oversight and not a design choice, because LW2 removes a lot of the environmental damage from many attacks like this.

Re: Smash and Grab no containers
Dunno. Like I said, if there was an error in LW2 that could cause 30% of the SnG's to just have no containers I'd have expected a lot more bug reports on it, but other than you and one other person a few months ago it's never been reported so that leads me to believe it's something environmental for...

Re: Squad is no longer usable
Hi - Sorry to hear you're still seeing the same bug, but since the last post on this thread before yours was in March I suspect the problem might be a config issue or something corrupted in the install or in the game files - this bug seems to be pretty fixed. Regenerating your configs would be a goo...

Re: LW2 Crashing
I tried your save and it crashes for me too. If it loads when you remove mods then your best bet may just be stripping mods until you find the one(s) causing the problems. The ones that are not LW2 compatible are good places to start.

Re: Smash and Grab no containers
Thanks for the save. I recall one other person reporting the same problem a release or two back, but it seems to be very rare. I loaded your geoscape save and entered the mission and indeed got the same bug. But the map that it generated is wrong: neither that plot nor the objective parcel are valid...

Re: Crash on mission completion
I can get the mod list out of the save, but if you are running more than about 10 or 15 and are using the AML then an exported list of your mods makes my life easier but isn't required.
I'm in an airport right now on my way back home, so it'll be another day or so before I can look at the save.

Re: Smash & Grab with negative time remaining
Thanks for the investigations everyone. I won't be back home to look at this for another few days but I will look into it then. I haven't been near a computer with XCOM since before 1.5 released so I haven't been able to try it myself, but from what I've read I do agree with Andronimus' suggestion t...

Re: Untouchable soldier not untouchable
Vanilla behavior is that any ability that targets the unit will consume untouchable, even non-attacks like a captain mark. Did the soldier get marked before they were shot or targeted by some other ability?

If it's stale configs then deleting all the config files and relaunching should do it, yeah.

Re: Reinforcement pod... of 0.
Ok, found and fixed... sort of. There were two bugs here. The first is in LW2, and is related to a set of earlier bugs in 1.4 where RNFs spawn right on top of your squad instead of being offset a certain amount. I had already fixed this in 1.5 for most missions, but missed this one. Now it's reset t...

Re: Reinforcement pod... of 0.
Thanks for the save. I can repro the reinforcement bug pretty reliably with your save, but not with a fresh campaign. It's apparently failing to find a valid pod leader for the current force and alert levels you are at on that mission. I'm still looking into it, and will hopefully have more soon. Fo...

Re: Reinforcement pod... of 0.
Thanks for the report. I've seen the same one reported a month or two back and I believe this is fixed already for 1.5 but am not 100% sure. I believe it was related to the bug on haven defense missions with reinforcement placements being wrong and they were accidentally being placed on top of a shi...

Re: Corrupted save
Unfortunately the save/load code is not something that is exposed to modders, so there isn't anything we can directly change there. We have seen a Mac-specific crash bug in LW2 1.3 that didn't crash on Windows, but none of the LW2 devs have macs and AFAIK all the internal playtesters are on Windows ...

Re: Coping with wildly unbalanced Haven Retals ahead of 1.5?
There should never be any pods on the map for defend missions where there is a timer before the evac zone appears. If this happens to you, please send me a link to a save, preferably one in the geoscape before the mission starts. My guess is a mod conflict of some kind, though, or stale INI files, a...
