Despite not having had a current game of LW2 going in probably over a year, XCOM 2 remains in my "currently playing" group in Steam. I'm just not done with it yet. Too much depth, too much to do.

Yeah, you have it pretty much correct OP - a "bullet wizard" focuses on all the support abilities, and perks which enhance those abilities. It stands in contrast to a pure damage gunner who focuses on firing many, high damage, mech-destroying (HEAT) rounds as accurately as possible.

For some missions that is intended, yeah. Many missions now have extraction zones a bit closer to the start, with a bit of randomization.

My personal preference would be that xp be based on the baseline (eg 100% infiltration) amount of aliens, and nothing else. No kill xp, no bonus xp for underinfiltrating, no loss of xp for over infiltrating. Makes things way less gem-y. Probably is the province of mods, though. Yeah I like that ide...

I just did a supply raid, Apr 21, strength 2 region. I had a command pod that I definitely didn't expect. Infiltration was 97%, normal alert when timer hit 0. Was moderate or light mod I think. I boosted, got 145% infil. Went to light or very light, can't remember. There were 15 enemies on map for ...

There's some Vig gain from completing Lib 3 (I don't remember how much) but no sort of ongoing effect that I know of.

Not in general, because liberating a region adds 3 vigilance to adjacent regions and 1 vigilance to all other regions.

IIRC the relative rarity of each resource changes as force level changes. Elerium starts out rare and becomes more common later in the game. The quantity of each in a crate also increases with force level.

I believe FowlJ is correct. If you don't pierce all of the armor, the little armor popup still shows up with the full value, but in reality the pierce still applied. UI bug, basically. There already is a distinction between yellow alert pods you activate on your turn and the ones who stumble into you on their turn. If you activate them on your turn they don't get to take any yellow alert actions.

What was your infiltration level? Supply raids in 1.3 are extremely dangerous to do at 0% infiltration by design.

Not sure how well-known this is (it was in the 1.3 patchnotes but I could see a lot of people skimming past it), but if you click the "Missions" tab at the top of the rebel jobs column in Haven management, it'll cycle all rebels through different jobs at once.
