I just had my start region attacked, it was advent strength 10, needless to say I didn't even bother defending. All my rebels 16 or so were killed. My advisor however.....was still in his advisor slot right as rain! I guess he found a good rock to hide under.

I just had a different version of a retaliation, I've never seen it before. Rebels on a recruiting mission got busted, Xcom squad goes in to extract the rebels, Big Sky returns for the squad, mission intel says it's extremely light but reinforcements keep dropping. Nope, only other mods I run are cosmetic ones and extra map packs. I was surprised that the reinforcements kept dropping. I can post a saved game if needs be.

OK, thanks a lot. The second one seems a lot more difficult, especially with the reinforcements every turn that also seem to drop in different locations, unlike the supply convoy defense.

I found them to be very useful if they have high aim as they can squad site move and fire, add a stock too and they can be pretty lethal especially kicking off an ambush, esp with as they can reliably kill of low health units. Also had this when using as mech as cover. A stun lancer used the mech as cover on the alien's turn, I moved the mech to expose the lancer to fire, apparently it was still in full cover!

Don't forget you also get bodies from the alien infiltrator mission. I got unlucky and struggled for officer, stun lancer and drones corpses/wrecks but got some infiltrator missions where I got them, tons of faceless too.

O.K thanks for the replies, glad to hear that everything is working properly. Also thanks for the mod, it's fantastic! A lot of cry babies out there but I don't think they understand the whole concept of the long war. Keep up the great work!

I'm not complaining as I feel i'm getting too lucky, though 3 months into my campaign I haven't seen any advent troops using special abilities. The officer, stun lancer and gunner seem o.k but the mecs, rocketeers and engineers haven't used any explosives against me. I always try and keep them stunn...
