Not necessarily; just trying to keep folks informed what's on deck.

Re: Please modify/change the way starting Councillors are assigned

People have asked for this and something like this is on our roadmap. You can mod it a little in TIFactionTemplate by setting what missions are required for the first two councilors. Obviously the original intent was to have you play the initial hand you're dealt as part of the challenge and to prov...

We'd need to look at a save. Might be they have other priorities by the time they can exceed the old caps.

Using proton to run on linux is slow, and have memory management issue.

We are not planning a separate Linux release. We experimented with one versus Proton and found Proton was much more stable.

Re: Playing Newer Terra Invicta Builds on Steam

We plan to increment the second version number (currently the ".3" in 0.3.49) if save games lose compatibility. Failing that, we'll put a warning in the patch notes. Note that this doesn't apply to balance changes -- if the cost of something changes when you move to a newer build, you'll h...

That's part of the army battle loop. We had some instances of the audio loop persisting when it should have been turned off in older builds. Let us know if you continue to hear it in build .49 and later.

Re: Does difficulty level change space battles?

It doesn't.

Indirectly, strategy layer difficulty-based advantages may leave the AI with different resources to design and build ships, but that's it.

Keep this discussion within the context of a video game that has space aliens and ray guns. If you disagree with someone, express it politely. Or just regard their point of view as a phenomenon that's a product of culture, politics and media, not something to flame-bait.

KNOWN ISSUES AS OF 0.3.59 * We are investigating a rare crash when using the set primary target command at the beginning of a combat. Re: Terra Invicta Roadmap for EA and beyond

- As for fleet tactical micro, it would be nice to get prompts for your fleet as to whether it should intercept an enemy fleet, defend a local station or orbit. Not necessarily full automation, but something more in the way of a reminder that you can approve or deny. (Battlegroup Earth would like t...

Re: Suggestions about repairing ships

Yes, post combat you were supposed to have your propulsion and power system field-repaired to a minimum few percent of capacity, no matter what, largely so we didn't have to introduce a complex tug mechanic. That was bugged until recently.

We will update the GOG version when we update the "default" Steam branch (the one 97% of Steam players are on). We are working very hard to get a stable version with all the fixes up there, but we can't promise a specific time -- it's ready when it's ready.

We have no ability to predict that in advance. It's either "hopefully soon" or "you'll have to wait" and "hopefully soon" is where we are.

@OP What build are you playing?

There have been changes to the bombardment mechanics on the validation build, so it's hard to incorporate this as feedback when we don't know what version of the game it's arising from.

To clarify the patch note:

I've seeing lots of saves where players have built up Mercury Dyson with the scads of Research Campuses and being entirely unconstrained in research.

We certainly intend to make the AI contest Mercury more but in the meantime trying to rein in the growth curve.

Re: Being stuck unifying the Americas

These capital-moving tricks for mega-unifications aren't really anything we intended to be part of the game so I can't really advise how to pull them off. The 3.40 code doesn't really do much yet except for that one (limited) situation mentioned in the notes.

We deliberately left out high-speed passes and have no plans to add them. We think they're suicidal and players wouldn't enjoy a screen that says "all your ships are destroyed" with no recourse.
