Stat progression for classes / hidden potential

Does anyone know what the stat progression for the classes are and how it interacts with hidden potential?

For my current playthough, I've put hidden potential at 30% so I'm guessing there may be a deviation of up to 30% of stat gains WHEN they level up. How does it impact the HP stat?

But I am trying to figure out the Hidden Potential thing, too.

I am using Not Created Equal and Hidden Potential at 100%. I just got a Sharpshooter up to LCPL with 54 Will.

A Rookie should have a maximum of 40 Will to start. Sharpshooters normally get 3 Will each at SQ and LCPL. With 100% Hidden Potential, I THOUGHT this meant he would gain 0 to 6 Will each of those ranks.

But I swear his Will went up 12 points when he hit LCPL. Now he has 54 Will, 2 more than should be maximally possible at LCPL.

So now I have no idea how Hidden Potential actually works.
