XP Formula?

Yo, does anyone know anything more about the xp formula besides missions give a lot and kills give less? How much? Do reinforcements still give xp? Do all enemies give the same like in Vanilla? Does taking two people give half the xp of taking one guy?

I know that reinforcements don't give XP or loot, to prevent farming them.

I'm pretty sure the xp system does count kill experience from reinforcements, it just doesn't include them in the per mission experience that all soldiers receive.

Regardless of whether that is true or not, this explanation I gave on reddit is otherwise accurate to my understanding:
After a successful mission, soldiers receive an amount of xp for completing the mission = [the number of enemies on the mission (not counting reinforcements)] / [the number of soldiers on the mission (minimum 3)] * [a per class multiplier, default 5.7]. So, a 4 soldier mission with 12 enemies earns 12 / 4 * 5.7 = 17.1xp for each soldier, or a little more depending on their class, up to I believe 17.7xp with a class multiplier of 5.9?

Soldiers also receive 1xp for every enemy they personally kill, or 1.33xp with the 'Wet Work' GTS upgrade. Unlike mission xp, this includes reinforcements.

A failed mission provides a portion of the base mission xp scaling with the number of enemies killed, up to 0.5x the full value. (So going on a mission and then immediately leaving without fighting anything gives no xp.)

Per class multiplier? So you mean some classes get xp at different rates than others or?

Yes. Most classes have a multiplier of 5.7, but less directly combat focused classes earn a tiny bit more. Checking the files, I was correct in that the highest is 5.9, earned by the Specialist.

That's for mission xp, I believe everyone earns combat xp at the same rate.

Nice, that pretty much answers everything, thanks a lot.
