Rookies being assigned XP after failing a mission with a higher ranked soldier.

There is a bug where rookies are not being given mission XP when a mission fails, but rather the game is assigning them PreXP of the soldier they are with. With this you can turn a rookie into a MSGT by simply failing an Evac with Flare type of mission.

In these examples Madasa is my test Shinobi and the other soldier is a fresh rookie. I did a KillAllAI on gatecrasher, then spawned an Evac with Flare mission, waited out the timer and pulled the MissionXP from the Logs.

I then reloaded my save back to the first mission, and took Madasa on a killing spree. Fleching 28 Aliens in a single turn thanks to PowerUP. Might be something wrong with me, but that was very satisfying

So basically the rookie is getting assigned the XP of the other soldier.

Thanks for the report. This is fixed in 1.3 and is the same as the very fast level-up bug for new rookies or reward/black market soldiers.
