Graphs of launch window percentages, Inner and Outer Planets

Outer Planets (not really relevant to gameplay)

Recorded 4 times monthly from start of game through early 2026. Link to google sheet with data

Thought this might be handy for anyone wanting to fine-tune just when exactly they research Mission to Mars, Mission to the Asteroid Belt, Mission to Inner Planets, etc.

This ceases to be relevant when you've switched over to using exploration ships with space science modules, and colony ships with construction modules.

At 0%, with fast probes researched, Mars probes take base 138 days. Ceres probes take base 247 days. If you plan to boost settlement cores from earth at an optimal period, plan to launch probes base days beforehand (+ whatever %).

Note: I am still very confused as to what the red up arrows and green down arrows mean. Perhaps they're bugged?

This all suggests for settling Mars by probe and then launching habs, if not using ships to do so, a probe/settlement launch timeline of probes the 1st week of February 2024, and settlement boosts the 1st week of Sep 2024. If this window can't be reached, the next 'optimalish' timeline might be probes around 8 Oct 2024, then settlement boosts around 1 Apr 2025. (But really, the extra travel time doesn't hugely make a difference, this is just for obsessive planners like myself lol)
