Hey, I was wondering if it's possible to disable specific Long War classes? Specifically; Assault, Gunner, Technician and the new Ranger, as I do not find them enjoyable. I would also like to if possible, disable whatever randomizes the characters stats, as I prefer things like that to be predictable.
I've been searching through the .ini files on my own in hopes of handling it myself, but unfortunately I've been unsuccessful so far.
Thanks in advance!
Disabling LW classes and characters not created equal?
Re: Disabling LW classes and characters not created equal?
Disabling "Not Created Equal" is easy. There's an option for it in the options menu
I think it's under the "Campaign" section of the options menu (2nd or 3rd from the bottom).
EDIT: Just to be clear, "Not Created Equal" is the option that randomizes rookie stats. It's checked by default. Just uncheck it!

Hm, just ran the first mission, I made sure to only have Grenadier, Sharpshooter, Shinobi and Specialist selected, but somehow a Technical snuck through anyway. Got two Grenadiers, 1 Shinobi, 2 Specialists, 2 Sharpshooters and one Technical, so it doesn't seem to work 100 %, but it seems to mostly do the trick, thank you! =)JLtheking wrote:Try this mod out, it's compatible. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... =656267587

In the classdata.ini there's a section called 'default classes', second one in. Just delete the classes you don't want.

I'm working on a mod for LW2 that restores the vanilla classes and adds the Technical but without the middle perk column. Yesterday I got it working but I still have a number of issues to solve concerning the AWC and reusing the extra perks introduced on LW2.
Originally, my idea for the AWC would be that there would be 3 columns, with the soldier being able to get at least 1 perk from each column.
* The 1st column would be all the extra perks from each class, so for instance the Specialist could have available there perks like Field Surgeon, Savior, Trojan, Failsafe, etc.
* The 2nd column would be the 3 infiltration perks available for the Shinobi, since that class wouldn't exist anymore and infiltration plays such a big role all those perks would be available to all the classes
* Finally, last column would be the 'general' perks like Executioner, Sentinel, Sprinter, Bring 'Em On, etc.
I managed to get everything to work with the exception of the 1st column since I couldn't restrict those perks to a single class (they simply don't appear listed on the column).
Im gonna give this another try today but I'll also add an additional class because I want also to include at least the Holo-Targeter and possibly the Sawed-off Shotgun and Arc Thrower (although a neat idea would be to combine the Holo-Targeter and the Arc-Thrower as single item). I'll most likely end up splitting the Ranger but we'll how it goes.

This alien aggression will not stand man!
